    Terms & Conditions

    Algemene Voorwaarden — Communitaal

    1. 1. Who we are

      These terms apply to all courses offered by Communitaal, a trade name of the sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) The Digital Baron, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KvK 98294636, Korte Annastraat 7, 2011 ZM Haarlem. Contact: info@communitaal.nl. (Lessons take place at Anegang 39, 2011 HR Haarlem.)

    2. 2. Scope

      These terms apply to every registration, booking and course. By booking a course you accept these terms.

    3. 3. Registration & your place

      A booking is complete when you submit the registration form and pay the course fee. Places are limited (maximum 10 students per group), filled in order of payment.

    4. 4. Prices & what's included

      €550 — full course, the Nederlands in Gang (editie 3) coursebook, our personal study companion, and the Communitaal app. Prices are in euro.

    5. 5. Payment

      Payment is made online via our payment provider, Mollie. You may pay in full, or in three interest-free instalments via in3 where offered. Your place is confirmed once payment (or the first instalment) is received.

    6. 6. Cancellation & refund policy

      • Cooling-off period — 14 days: Within 14 days of registering (wettelijke bedenktijd / herroepingsrecht), you receive a full refund of the course fee.
      • After the 14 days, before the course starts: A €50 administrative fee is charged; the remainder of the course fee is refunded.
      • After the start date: No refund of the course fee.

      To cancel, write to idan@communitaal.nl with your registration reference. Where statutory consumer withdrawal rights apply, we honour them.

    7. 7. When a course runs (minimum students)

      A course runs only when at least 4 students have registered. We confirm the cohort by 20 August 2026. If we don't reach 4, your payment is fully refunded — no action needed. This is a course-running condition — it is separate from the cancellation tiers above and does not change the 14-day / pre-start / post-start refund rules.

    8. 8. Changes to a course

      We may, where reasonably necessary, change a teacher, a lesson date, or the lesson location, and we'll let you know as soon as possible. Such changes are not grounds for a refund unless they materially change the course.

    9. 9. Missed lessons

      The course fee covers your place in the full course. Lessons you miss are not refunded and cannot be transferred, but your teacher will help you catch up.

    10. 10. Materials & intellectual property

      The personal study companion, the Communitaal app, and our course materials are for your personal use during the course. They remain our intellectual property and may not be copied, shared or resold.

    11. 11. Your effort

      The outcome of a language course depends heavily on your own effort between lessons — preparation, homework, and daily practice.

    12. 12. Conduct

      We want a respectful, welcoming room for everyone. We may remove a student whose behaviour seriously harms the group, in which case any refund is at our reasonable discretion.

    13. 13. Privacy

      We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Notice. Payments are processed by Mollie under its own terms.

    14. 14. Liability

      Our liability is limited to the amount of the course fee you paid. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, except where the law does not allow such limitation.

    15. 15. Complaints & applicable law

      Have a complaint? Email complaints@communitaal.nl and we'll respond within a reasonable time — see our Klachtenregeling (complaints procedure) for how we handle it. Dutch law applies; disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands.
